Well the end of May is here and so is my son's birthday. The joy a child brings warms the heart. I'll never forget the day my son was born and I can't believe he is already going to be 5. The holiday weekend is finally over and things are back to normal in Ojai. It's pretty cool out here in this beautiful and amazing valley. It reminds me of staying on the North Shore of Oahu during the winter season. Everyone descends on this country town for a period of time and then leaves and everything goes back to normal. I must admit that even though I'm filled with confidence, I still get insecure about certain things. It's only fair to feel as if I contain certain imperfections. Roll with the tide

As soon as I begin writing, I have no idea how my blog is going to come out. I just let it flow. It's the same kinda style I write my music. There is no way to pre plan anything. It's just whatever the higher powers at be guide me. I'm very grateful to have this ability. I always was a good writer. While in school at University of California Irvine I had this professor who was very critical of me. I swear I wrote my 20 page research paper 5 times. I did my best in school because I wanted to learn. I ended up getting an A-. I'll never forget that time in my life, because the challenges are what shape us as who we are. Well my days off have passed and I am back at work. I was able to accomplish what I needed to. Very excited to say that Ben Buttner and I have written a new tune that is super groovy. Make it count

I enjoy working on the weekend because it's always busy at the hotel. Makes my work days just fly by. I got one more evening of work tonight and I'm off for the next 3 days. Tuesday will be a day of focus and preparation for Wednesday night's studio session. Every moment in my life has led me to this. Experience pays off

I cannot believe the confidence and momentum going on in my life. The energy is so cosmic that it shows. It feels great to be committed to my music career  with undivided attention. I haven't felt like this since I did my first song in a major recording studio back in 2009. "High Tide,"  if you all remember that song, it landed me a record deal. That was an incredible feeling that lasted 2 weeks before I slipped into darkness. But there is no need to think about the past, because this is right now and life is an amazing adventure. Regardless of what happened to me...I learned, survived and overcome all odds. Anything is possible when you are focus and dedicated, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If I can do it SO CAN YOU! Back to business

Well it sure feels good to be back at work. Gotta keep doing it so the music won't stop. I've been feeling very blessed lately with all that has come about from my music. I have nothing to fall back on. This is all or nothing for me. That's why I've invested so much money into my music. No one is going to take me serious if I don't invest in myself. Bottom line is that I get the opportunity to do what I love...making music. It's what Im best at. I've had the opportunity to do many things in my life.
