When you can lock yourself into the present moment there is a huge sigh of relief. Your mind shuts down and your senses are magnified. It requires a lot of discipline. I recommend any book by Eckhart Tolle. He explains this processes in depth. We must learn to have control over our mind and not let it ruin everything. Mundane thoughts of stress and worries which are from the past or future. We lose sight of what is right in front of us. Living simple is better. But if you can for just a few moments focus on the now. You will feel a sense of relief to know that your mind does not have to be in control all of the time. Let your senses do the work.
